The annual Scholars Programme Alumni Network (SPAN) Get-Together organised by the University Scholars Programme (USP) was held at Marriott Singapore on Friday 19 February, in conjunction with the Lunar New Year celebration. Set up to be a cozy affair, the event saw about 100 USP alumni, students, faculty and staff come together for an evening of memories and great company. We also welcomed our first two "USP babies" as two USP couples brought along their baby to attend the get-together.

The evening began with our new Director of USP, Associate Professor Kang Hway Chuan, and our new Rector of Cinnamon College (USP), Ms Euleen Goh, giving a welcome message. Thereafter, followed by different sections of the USP office sharing on how alums can contribute back to the USP community. USP alums were also introduced to the upcoming inaugural USP Homecoming happening on 13 Aug, as part of the Kent Ridge Alumni Day, and were encouraged to share ideas on what they hope to see at the homecoming.

Overall, it was a great evening of reminiscence, laughter and catching-up.
